Dr Hile is a Sydney surgeon specialising in surgery of the wrist and hand, and peripheral nerves..
He completed a degree in mechanical engineering before switching to medicine at The University of Sydney. This combined knowledge gives him a great breadth of understanding of the mechanics of the hand.
After university, Dr Hile progressed to train in Orthopaedic surgery in Sydney. Then followed a year of research into bone healing and further specialty training in surgery of the wrist and hand.
Since starting in practice in 2001 Dr Hile has built skills and experience in thousands of surgery cases.
He has three children, surfing, flat water ski paddling or stand up paddle boarding, and trying not to break anything while skiing.
